A group of 115 Circassians who are citizens of Syria have written a letter to the Russian leadership and Circassian public organizations in Russia with a request to help them to return to their historical motherland, the Circassian Parliament public movement reported to the Interfax news agency.

Syria’s Circassians are descendants of those who left Russia in the 19th century during the Great Caucasus War.
